DJ & PRODUZENT
While most teenagers in 2001 were still dreaming of being allowed into clubs, 15-year-old Stuttgart native Andy Chiles was already behind the decks at the city's hottest venues — including the legendary M1 – The Club as a resident DJ. But that wasn't enough for him.
Over the following years he built his own recording studio from scratch and simultaneously taught himself music production — revealing another exceptional talent that made him stand out among Stuttgart's musicians. His reputation grew rapidly, and soon his name was well-known in clubs far beyond the city. Co-productions with Russian DJ Sean Garnier and remixes for Sean Finn followed, with whom he later formed the collaborative project Clark & Kent.
In early 2012, Andy Chiles released his bootleg of Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" — before the original even entered the international charts, the remix had already surpassed 600,000 YouTube views. It was subsequently recognized officially and even became part of Gotye's nomination for "Best Australian / New Zealand Act" at the MTV EMA Music Awards.
Four months later, official remixes followed for Alex Clare's "Too Close" and Toni Braxton's "I Heart You". On January 24, 2013, his single "Like A Boss" was released under Berlin's DB Rush Records, reaching #32 in the UK Dance Charts.
His ambitions extend well beyond DJing: Andy Chiles produces music videos, directed a full documentary about the Dominican Republic, and has created commercial productions including a spot for the Range Rover Sport. He also supports emerging talent and plays a key role in shaping their artistic identities.
That first studio of his eventually grew into RedHill54 in Stuttgart-Ost. Across 76 square metres his creativity has found a permanent home there: a recording studio and a photo studio under one roof, and long since not only for his own productions.
Behind the decks since 2001 — in Stuttgart clubs, at festivals and internationally. Stuttgart is the base, not the limit. Available for club bookings as well as selected weddings and corporate events. Alongside DJing there is a steady stream of own releases and official remixes. For an enquiry, a date, a location and a few words about the occasion are enough.
